SAINT ANDREW'S DAY

Last Wednesday, 30th of November, it was St. Andrew's day, a very popular festive day in Poland. On this day, tradition has it that predictions about future are more likely to become true and there are several ways of guessing your future using different elements such us fruit, candles, wax, shoes and so on.
Children from schools in Spain, Italy and Poland practiced all the traditions that are usually held on this day, they learnt lots of interesting things about Polish traditions and what is even more importan: they had a greeeeeeaaaaaaatttttttt time! Do you want to have a look?????

HISPANITY DAY

Last Wednesday 12th of October we celebrated Hispanity Day, this is a very important day for Spanish people and we celebrate the day in which Christopher Colombus discovered America and started to spread Spanish all over the world.

Children in Poland and Italy learnt a lot of things about this day and made crafts including flags and maps following the route of Colombus.... It was fun! Have a look at we they did..... Isnt it great????

ITALY

The name of our school is " LEONARDO SCIASCIA" and it is located in Camporeale a little town near Palermo ( about 40 km ) that is the capital of Sicily.This is the first time we take part in a Comenius project and we are enthusiastic about it.
The whole school will work on this project but there will be three classes primarily involved on it and they are the classes that finish the third year of secondary school. My students are looking forward to know you and work together.

This will be a wonderful year for all of us!

POLAND

The name of our school is ' Szkoła Podstawowa w Ligowie' . It is a small school delightfully situated in a village (Ligowo) that in located in central part of Poland.

The school is well-known for its hard-work, creativity and altruism. We are very happy and excited that we can take part in the Comenius Project for the first time. This year the students of Year 6 will take part in most activities and trips. We can't wait to meet our friends from Spain and Italy.
